After several years of waiting, I personally feel, this is the one! Canon has launched the latest member of the EOS series – Canon EOS 70D (launched in June 2013). The camera features at first looks really interesting and I feel this could be a game-changer SLR camera in the canon family.
Canon has carefully studied the market this time by launching the reasonably priced entry level professional DSLR camera (1199 USD). I think this should be a direct replacement for the Canon 6D already awaiting a goodbye. The camera has great features like WiFi, rotatable touch screen display, 20.2 megapixel camera, ISO range up to 12800 (means better low light photos) and an on-camera flash.
Even though there are some disadvantages, none really proves to be a deal-breaker. It makes no sense buying the cheapest DSLR expecting to learn everything and upgrade to the next one, because learning the basics is a quick process – you would soon want a more capable camera. This makes 70D a balanced choice for a beginner aspiring to become a professional soon because you just cut down one stage!
